Browhaus and Strip @ Westgate

About 3 weeks ago, I was invited to BROWHAUS and STRIP’s opening party at Westgate. It was such a delight! Really grateful and excited to be one of the bloggers invited by them!

I did Brow Resurrection previously at their Holland Village outlet. Here's my post about my Brow Resurrection.

  

 For those of you who don't know! This is their first outlet in the West! Good for you West-ies!! It’s super near Jurong East MRT station, just have to take the Level 2 linkway!

Treats from Skinny Pizza! Omg IT WAS SOOOOOO GOOOOODDDDD!! I was the only one who sat there and ate NON STOP. I think the rest were too shy or something? OMG NOMS.... I really want some of the sausages now!

It was such a cosy place. Totally love their store interior and all the people working there are soooo friendly. Superb service and I really mean it! 

At first I thought I was just invited there to kinda look around and take some pictures but little did I know! I was really in for a grooming treat! 

They invited us to choose from a series of Browhaus and Strip’s treatments and here's what I chose that day! 

- Finger Waxing

- Thread & Tweeze

- IPL Skin Rejuvenation Underarm

Starting with finger waxing....

I tried their Strawberry hard wax.  I was told that hard wax is usually used for sensitive areas, such as the Brazilian or face area. Also, they formulate their own wax!

Omg their Strawberry wax really smells like Strawberry and looks like it too! They have the Chocolate Berry flavored one too! Both specially formulated by them! Hehe so cool!!!

 My first finger wax was with their therapist, Crystal!

Did you know that STRIP was the first salon to introduce the ‘No Double Dipping’ commandment? Which means they use a brand new spatula to get the wax from the wax pot. When I choose grooming salons, it’s super important to know that they follow a strict hygiene regime!

Don't know if ya'll can tell the difference from this picture because my hair is quite fine! Hahahaha. It’s so clean and smooth after the wax. Even though my hair is so fine, I can feel the difference when I touch my hands.

Everything about them is just soooooo cute la! Hahaha.

I drew my brows that day because the brow resurrection kinda faded a bit and I like thicker brows soooo..... Time to go back to Holland Village and touch em up! 

The treatment started with a short consultation where I shared the type of brows I like. Jully then recommended a few different options based on my preference. Really like that she takes in account my preferences so I will be satisfied with the results.

And here's me after with nothing drawn~~ So natural right?! I realllllyyyyy LOVE IT!! 

There may be many other brow salons around. But to find one that gives you professional brows advice and delivers result, that’s difficult!

Moving on, the last treatment I tried was for my.... ARMPITS. HAHAHAHAHA!! I did their IPL Skin Rejuvenation.

Many of you will know what IPL stands for – Intense pulsed light. Strip offers 2 versions of IPL - Hair Removal and Skin Rejuvenation. I tried the latter. We all know how embarrassing it can be when our darkened underarms are on display when we are wearing sleeveless tops.

I have heard friends telling me that IPL at other salon was painful; it had a rubber band snapping sensation. Surprisingly, when I did mine at STRIP, all I felt was a warm sensation and I almost fell asleep.

After my treatment, I really noticed a slight brightening effect on my underarm. But I was advised that I need to undergo at least 6-8 sessions for best results J

All in a nutshell... I was so glad I went. I went home a super happy and pampered girl!
